#69 Awe and Wonder

Welcome to our first podcast about our Read Through the Bible in a Year plan! I am fascinated by Genesis. Beginnings are telling, are they not? We get a glimpse not just at a different time period, but of a different set of rules. A set of rules where there was no sickness, where the world was as God intended it to be. A world with no sin, no death, no pain. A world where a serpent spoke and people lived forever in communion with God. Lush, beautiful, healthy, NEW. In today’s podcast episode I share my thoughts from this week’s Bible passages. They are a bit all over the place because we read such a variety of things but I named it awe and wonder because to me these were the overwhelming themes. 1. Thank you Rebecca! Your Godcasts are such a blessing. I can relate on so many levels. To know that God gives me peace is so comforting . He lead me to homeschooling and to this group! I am grateful for his many blessings! May God bless you Rebecca and your family!

  2. This was completely lovely to listen to. You have a beautiful way of pulling the scripture off the page and bringing it to life; I have read these scripture verses many times but you bring it to life by prompting such great questions from simple sentences. I too do not want “scientific” analysis on things like this. Your way of studying reminds me of Mother Angelica (very famous Catholic nun who founded EWTN)..She is the queen of taking apart the scripture and pulling a reader into the ancient scene. Thank you so much for what you are doing! God bless you and your family.
