Meet Our Family

Meet my kids, my world. The smiles that greet me in the morning, the brood that clings to me throughout the day, the littles that wake me at night. These five adorable, precious children are the reason that I smile each day, and sometimes the reason I want to pull out all my hair. I mean, lets be real, it isn’t all candy canes and lollipops.

My oldest is 7 and my youngest is 1. I try to homeschool in between making snacks, cleaning the house, dealing with my home based business, occupying toddlers and bouncing an active baby. There are days I feel like I don’t have time to breathe let alone have a shower! But when I do have a minute to sit down and drink a FULL cup of coffee… I find I am completely content and happy with my life. I am living my dream. Some young girls may dream of having a career, from as long as I can remember I dreamed of having kids and homeschooling them.

This is my journey to make homeschooling more than just something I “do” and transform it to a way of life. Create an environment where learning is fun and interesting. Finding that seed of wonder and planting it in my children’s minds. Drawing together closer as a family and building relationships with one another that don’t wither over time. Teaching my kids our values and building a foundation and framework for their lives that will serve them all their years to come. To laugh with my children, to play with my children, to learn and explore with my children. To not miss one of their “ah ha” moments, to see the spark of understanding in their eyes, to marvel at the joy in a new discovery.

This is my journey to go beyond just surviving life with 5 young children, but to thrive with them.

I hope you enjoy reading about our journey and would love to hear from you or see your photo following our page.

Happy reading!

  1. Hi !

I’m Laëtitia. I have 4 kids between 7 and 1. Homeschoolers 🙂 What you write is very true and it’s very helpful to find it when it’s one of thesed asy when you can’t get to the bathroom.

Thank you for the time and energy you put into this blog. That’s a lot with 5 kids homeschoolers.

We’re from France, right now living in Spain, and next year moving definetely to Canada. Maybe one day our ways will cross in a homeschool group !
(btw how do you find a homechool group in Canada ? For Kelowna, BC, I found nothing on the web. Would you have any advice ?)

Thanks again for all you do and “hasta luego” 🙂

PS : sorry for the mistakes , my english is a bit rusty after more than one year speaking spanish only !
