S2E5: Our Typical Homeschool Day

affiliate disclosure

Our homeschool day is kind of like a living organism. I have to tend it, I have to be gentle and careful with it, I have to change and adapt and move with it. I can’t create a one-size-fits-all routine or schedule because it never fits for very long. I don’t have all the answers on this you guys, I’m constantly trying to find the elusive balance and structure that will provide me with this fuzzy idea of “homeschool perfection” that I have in my head. In today’s episode, I share with you the chaos, what it looks like day to day and why I am still tweaking and adjusting. I refuse to accept something as a marker for what we are going to do if it isn’t sustainable–because it will just end badly. That is where I am at right now! I found what I want to do in a day and it is awesome, but it isn’t sustainable so there is no point in continuing in this plan, something’s got to give. Maybe that can be my homeschool motto! 😉

My episodes just keep on getting longer and longer somehow, add that to my list of things I’m going to work on. So bear with me as I share my heart for creating balance in the home and I would LOVE for you to chime in! If you have two secs, find my podcast on iTunes and give it a quick rating or review, or comment below and let me know what homeschooling looks like in your home!
