Tattling Solution: Free THINK before you speak printable

I was sick of tattling but I think it’s important for my kids to come to me when things get out of control. Trying to find that balance can be frustrating and confusing for both me AND my kids! I have come across this acronym before and think it is an awesome reminder for the whole family to be cautious of what we say. Our words can be powerful tools and I love that my kids have something concrete to go by that is simple enough for everyone to follow along.

First things first, stop and pin this so you don’t lose it for later!

Tattling Solution: Think before you speak free printable!

I have really found a lot of success with this acronym to combat tattling in a simple way but I wanted to design one that I could print off.

I made up two separate options, one is a white background if you are low on printer ink, and one done chalkboard style that would be worth laminating and getting done at Staples so that you don’t use all your ink up! I made them in 8×10 size so that they can be printed off at home if you want and included a Bible memory verse on the bottom of them as well so there are lots of options for every family!

Tattling no more!

The reality is that we need our kids to come to us if something is dangerous or making a huge mess or out of control. They simply aren’t equipped to deal with every situation so to tell them “no tattling” can create a very confusing situation. Some simple guidelines can help our kids learn when to speak out and when to work it out on their own or let it go! And who are we kidding? It’s a good reminder for us too!

I hope you enjoy it as much as we have and don’t forget to grab your free printable “bored jar!
